Nirupa Roy was an Indian actress who was known for portraying the role of the Indian mother stereotype. Nirupa Roy played the heroine and the hero's mother in late 70s and 80s. Nirupa's acting career spanned more than 50 years and the lady acted in more than 250 movies. In 1946 Nirupa Roy made her debut in acting with the Gujarati film Ranakdevi.
