Zubeida Begum Dhanrajgir was an Indian movie actress, who was the First Talkie Actress of India, as she enacted in first Indian talkie Alam Ara released in 1931.Her credits involve early hits like Devdas released in 1937, and played the lead role in Sagar Movietone's first talkie, Meri Jaan. Zubeida was one of Indian cinema's earliest super actress and among the few ladies who entered movies at a time when it wasn't aknowledged an appropriate profession for girls from respectable parivaars. Born in Surat, Zubeida was a sizzling beautiful princess, the daughter of the Nawab of Sachin and Fatima Begum. In 1925, Zubeida had nine releases including Kala Chor, Devdasi, Desh Ka Dushman respectively. A year later she featured in her mother's movie, titled Bulbul-e-Parista.
