Born on January 3, 1979 Gul Panag is a critically acclaimed Bollywood actress and former beauty queen. Gul Panag won the Miss India title in 1999 and was crowned Miss Beautiful Smile at the same pageant.
Gul Panag began her movie career with the 2003 film Dhoop. Since then she had worked in films like Jurm (2005) and the TV series Kashmeer (STAR Plus). However Gul Panag received acclaim for her role of Zeenat Fatima in the 2006 Nagesh Kukunoor film, Dor.
The 2007 film, Manorama Six Feet Under, inspired from Roman Polanski's Chinatown (film), earned her fabulous reviews. In 2008 Gul Panag acted in the the films Hello and Summer 2007. Her 2009 projects include the movies Straight and A Rectangular Love Story. Gul appeared on the front page and a photo shoot for Maxim (magazine) in September 2008. Gul's notable films are Dhoop, Dor, Manorama Six Feet Under, Hello and Straight.
Gul is also Brand Ambassador for Tata Sky with Amir Khan. The actress was also nominated for the Stardust Award for Best Actress In A Supporting Role (2009) Movie: Hello, Screen Award for Best Actress In A Supporting Role (2007)Movie: Dor. She has also won the Zee Cine Critics Award - Best Actress , tied with Ayesha Takia for Movie Dor (2007).
